Chances are if you’re a man (or even a woman for that matter), you’ve probably seen Nugenix advertised on TV. You typically will see it advertised on TV during a sporting event. Personally, I really notice it during MMA or Wrestling events, but I’ve seen during football games as well.
What is Nugenix?
If you’re not familiar with what Nugenix is, here is some information for you. Nugenix is marketed as a natural testosterone booster.
A natural testosterone booster is a collection of ingredients that are made up of various vitamins, herbal compounds, and minerals that work together to cause a man’s body to increase the production of testosterone.
Assuming that a natural testosterone booster actually does what it says it will do, the advantage to it is that you should get a significant increase in testosterone without all the negative health risk and side effects that you typically hear about with testosterone replacement therapy.
What Ingredients Are Included In Nugenix?
When you look at the ingredients of Nugenix, you’ll see that there are six total ingredients in the entire ingredients formula.
The ingredients are Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Zinc, and then they have three more ingredients wrapped up in what they call the Nugenix® Free Testosterone Complex. Those three ingredients are L-Citruline Malate, Fenugreek Seed Extract, and Tribulus Terrestris fruit.
Does Nugenix Work?
Well, that is the question on the table in this Nugenix review. The first thing you need to look at is the science behind the ingredients.
There are only six total ingredients in the entire product. The best and most effective testosterone boosters have at least eight core testosterone boosting ingredients.
Out of the six ingredients in in Nugenix, only four of them have been clinically tested and proven to boost testosterone. Tribulus Terrestris and L-Citruline don’t have any test boosting power. So that really leaves you with four test boosting ingredients.
Out of the four remaining ingredients, three of them are just severely under dosed to the point where they are complete non-factors. (Vitamin B6, B12, and Zinc)
The final ingredient left (Fenugreek seed extract) that actually has been proven to boost testosterone is contained in the Nugenix Free Testosterone Free Complex where it doesn’t give you the individual ingredient dosages of the three ingredients in the complex, so you have no way of knowing if that ingredient has been severely under dosed as well.
Even if we assume that you received a good dose of Fenugreek of approximately 500 mg, that would still mean that you’re really only getting one testosterone boosting ingredient, compared to 8-12 testosterone boosting ingredients in other much better and proven testosterone boosters.
So will you experience any testosterone boosting benefit with Nugenix? If you do, it will likely be a mild benefit with nowhere near the results that you will see with the best test boosters on the market.
This just goes to show you that just because a product has good marketing and advertising, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the best testosterone booster on the market.
